Slagelse Bueskyttelaug

Founded on 29 August 1984.

The first board was formed with Sonja Storgård as chairperson from 1984 to 1993, Anne Lise Jensen as vice-chair, Finn Olsen as treasurer, board member Svend Aage Jørgensen, and secretary Rita Jørgensen.

Peter Albrechtsen was chairman from 1993–1996.
Erik Larsen was chairman from 1996–2003.
Michael Larsen was chairman from 2003–2012.
Mogens Jakobsen was chairman from 2012 to 2022.
Kenneth Rune Jensen has been chairman since 2023.

Our indoor ranges are in the basement of Nørrevangsskolen.

We continue to work with the municipality on a new outdoor area, after having to give up our previous range in 2010 to make way for the new forest kindergarten.

In March we were allocated a new outdoor shooting range at Langøre, where a stadium and other facilities were planned and other clubs were expected to move in. Since there is a bike path out there, we were able to use the area after having a representative from the federation approve it, to avoid any issues when the range needed final approval. We set up ranges so we could shoot during the four summer months, and we got a 40-foot container for our equipment. A parking lot was also built, and we got a room in the building and toilets – the first time in the thirty years we've existed.

Soil was added to the range and grass was sown in the autumn, so we had the municipality drill holes for 18 shooting mats. The range was approved by the federation, and an inauguration was held in September with Troels Christensen as speaker.
